Rosalie Powell is a Sydney-based artist whose work explores light, place and atmosphere.

Her practice centres on translating real environments into softened, painterly compositions through a layered, hands-on process. Rather than documenting a scene, each work is a considered reduction, refining tone, structure and the way light moves across a surface.

Inspired by coastal architecture and natural landscapes, her pieces are designed to sit seamlessly within interior spaces. The work prioritises calm, balance and material sensitivity, offering a quiet presence within a room.

Alongside her Coastal Series, Rosalie is developing a body of original works using oil pastels and paint, extending her exploration of texture, form and abstraction.
